I live in Greenslopes. Mt Gravatt is nice as is Holland Park. Handy for 8 Miles Plains and the CBD. Mt Gravatt some city views.

I work for SMS and came over on a 457 VISA. If you come over on a 457 visa, it may be possible to get employer sponsored PR after 2 years. SMS recruit from the UK and are back again...

Sadly not all of us qualify for PR.
I am on a 457 visa and expected to pay for medical insurance for myself and my family as part of my employment conditions. Just another expense of living here....
