We lived in Las Alpujarras (Yegen) for eight years from 2004-2011. I personally think it IS cooler because of the altitude. I never acclimatised...

Ours was never deemed illegal, but unknown to us, the deeds had never been updated by previous owners who had done various alterations. This was not pointed out by the solicitor who we used when...

Absolutely agree.

In fact the last three of the eight years we were in Spain, we spent about five months in the UK, coming back permanently (to a dark and cold December ) at the end of 2011.
