Re: Moving to Singapore - Salary advice

Well, expat packages these days are supposed to be on the decline. But having said that, I would expect your salary to be at least the same as your UK salary, but definitely you should try and...

Yes, we went back for 10 days at the end of September. It was lovely! The weather was amazing, every single day the sun shone and the sky was blue (honestly!!), so it ended up being more of a holiday...

Re: Singapore work permit for girlfriend

I don't know too much about this, but I can tell you that first of all, it will be more difficult for you to come to Singapore as a couple if you aren't married. I don't think it's impossible, just...

Re: Disney adventure on the way home.

Totally agree, unsurprisingly it's geared up for the Chinese market, and it's so Chinese it just doesn't feel like Disney. I've been to the Paris one as well, and the Hong Kong one isn't a patch on...

Re: Relocating Pet dog from Singapore to the UK

Well, I have to say I didn't shop around for quotes or anything, I'm just using an agent that was recommended to us - so far, they have only had to sort out my dog's rabies vaccination and subsequent...

Re: help with schools!!

Hi Nicola,

Just a quick word about your spaniel - when we came to Singapore 18 months ago, Singapore Airlines wouldn't carry spaniels (one of many breeds they won't carry  ) so you'll...

Re: Relocating Pet dog from Singapore to the UK

We're going through the same thing ourselves at the moment, although we are using an agent.

One thing I remember from when we brought our dog from China to Singapore in the first place is that...

Re: Hong Kong or Singapore for 3 days

That sounds like great reasoning – Singapore is a great place for a stopover, but Hong Kong is definitely worth a longer trip – especially if you’re in Australia normally so it’s not such a long trip...

Re: Left yesterday

I think when people are thinking about emigrating in the first place, and weighing up the pros and cons, the ‘feeling of belonging’ is not usually given much thought. I don’t think it’s possible to...
