Not sure this is the same as your situation, or of much use, but my missus pays Class 2 contributions on an annual basis. She hasn't rec'd her usual letter outlining how much to pay so 'phoned them...

Slightly off topic but I also have GBP funds in a couple of savings account in the UK, and receive the interest tax free by using the R105 form that Jonboy refers to, all works out just fine.

I've been using HSBC to transfer GBP to Canadian dollars for the last year or so and the rate was always about 1.5 cents lower than the rate given on sites like Yahoo finance etc, a very good rate...
