You have probably done it by now, but if not then you can buy saniergipps and use it for joint filling. They dont tend to plaster as such here in Austria, more joint fill, grundierung (PVA Unibond)...

You can only use your car on UK plates for a year as long as you are not registered in Germany as Hauptwohnsitz (main residence) or if the car is registered to another party, ie UK ltd business.

I agree with the sentiment but you cannot expect dealers to alter their prices down in their own markets when the rate changes in their suppliers land.

Imagine the difficulty the dealers would...

I am not surprised about the accident near the docks as the first 10 mins of foreign travel is in my opinion the most dangerous, still on auto pilot from own side of road.
