I went for my renewal of my O visa 2 weeks ago in London - it didn't expire til end of June 2013 and when I received my passport back the old one was CWOP and the new one, valid til 2016 was stamped...

If it is cancelled they will write across the visa CWOP in red letters. I have 2 current visas in my passport - one is a B1/B2 valid til 2017.
