Yes I just showed my Dubai license and got a Qatar one. They don't take the Dubai one. Eye test is mandatory.

I lived in AKG for over a year. Good facilities, swimming pools, tennis courts etc. a fair few kids there but the management did have a crack down on noise. Same with dogs.
It's a bit out of the way...

Just found out that there is an insurance company that give rebates for times when people are not in the country.

I would also assume I can insure all at time of visa submission then remove them...

Regulations state that you should have an onward ticket. However I have flown into Manila on single tickets from Australia, Singapore and Qatar.

From all accounts Angeles is more geared up for the Koreans these days. The arrival of superclubs have put prices up and changed the city from the quaint dusty place it was when the base was there....

Yes, my daughter has both British and Filipino citizenship and her aunties, uncles, cousins etc have British, Canadian, US and Australian citizenship as well as Filipino.

Think that's what he means by dual passports. Not so easy to rock up these days and get a British passport.

You will have to contact the British Embassy. It is not so easy these days as you are not married.

I know a lot who got family RP after 3 months. Apparently since May they are enforcing the 6 months rule. And my sponsor is the PM!!

I went 2 weeks ago with 6 months worth of bank statements. Application was rejected as first 2 salary payments were by cheque not electronic transfer. Told no problem apart from that and to go back...

RP rejected as only 4 bank statements showing electronic salary payment. The other 2 statements with salary deposited by cheque don't count apparently.

Good point but you need to go to the BE first to be allowed to marry in Dubai.Have to show them birth certificate, divorce papers etc before you can go ahead so the marriage is already registered...

It doesnt need attesting. No one in Qatar has had to produce this certificate.

Well despite my questioning they still insisted I went to the British Embassy. The Embassy very politely declined to stamp it and suggested the UAE embassy.:rofl:
So off to the UAE embassy tomorrow....

Planning a short trip to UK for the first time for many years (not taking the maid or the driver!!).
