I made it!
Arrived four weeks ago, with a bad cold and jet lag.
It's been a long process, and at times a " one step forward, two back" as the boxes I ticked weren't all the straight forward ones...

I'm planning on being a Brit in Alaska this autumn (after wedding) , all being well :)
I was in Title Wave on my first trip over to Anchorage and I'm sure a guy working in there was a Brit, was too...

Thanks, I appreciate the advice :-) I'll check the neighbourhood crime map again. Homer is lovely, been there a couple of times to stay.
I hope your parents are OK, it must have been very scary :-(...

Have you seen the news recently re. crime in the UK? :( I was actually in AK when they had the riots recently. It's so rushed over here too, I like the relaxed way of life in AK, and...
