Talking An update

Hi everyone! Long time, no see! It's been a long time since I've been here, as the immigration stuff in the last few years has been pretty traumatic for us, but I wanted to let you know our news.

Re: Increased points requirement for skilled visas

Thanks for the heads up everyone. Sorry for the delay - it took me a minute to remember how to delete them!

Re: Will a job in Aus ensure me of a visa?

Nope, no guarantee of a visa. Try to get a visa independently, as employers can be rather unscrupulous, and they can screw you over as soon as look at you.

Bridging visa

Hello lovely people - long time, no see! Things have been (and still are) a bit insane, so I have not been around for a while. I hope you're all okay.

I actually have a question of my own, and...

Re: Pharmacy work in Aus

There are states sponsoring pharmacy techs. I know that Queensland had it on their list.

Having said that, the OP would need to have the equivalent of the cert IV & then get a skills assessment....

Re: Lots of advice please

If he can get the skills assessment, IELTS, etc., I think state sponsorship would be the way to go. Plenty of states have included it on their lists. Obviously, it'll depend on his scores, etc.

Re: Lots of advice please

I don't see why he couldn't apply for Australia. Having just looked at all of the state sponsorship websites, carpenter is on most of them. It's certainly on the MLTSSL, so he should have some...

Re: Gap year

Having just looked at your other posts, I don't think you are qualified to be offering to assess someone's résumé. Also, if you have any advice, we prefer it to be made on the forum, not in PMs, as...

Re: Looking for advice on 457

:goodpost:

This.

If your employers are deeply unpleasant people, they may well refuse to carry on the sponsorship. In which case, you'll have very little time to find a new sponsor or get out...

Re: Substatial Criminal record

My point is exactly what I said. DIBP refusing the visa is not the worst outcome. You're correct in the fact that no agent can definitively state, one way or another, whether they would be refused...

Re: Substatial Criminal record

Nope. The worst they can do is ban applicants from the country/from applying for a minimum amount of time. I imagine that's unlikely if they're completely honest in their application, but it should...

Re: Changes to visa lodgement and conditions 18 November 2017

Thanks for the info, Polly. I've stickied the thread so it has prominance for a while. :)

Re: Why do they need SO MUCH information?

No. The thread, minus the squabbles, may be useful to other posters. The thread & post stay. It is not BE policy to delete threads, etc., unless absolutely necessary.

Re: Why do they need SO MUCH information?

The post has been seen. Reporting posts of concern is important, but you need to be aware that no action will be taken if there is no issue with the post. The issue that I have taken exception to...

Re: Substatial Criminal record

I agree with Pollyana's recommendation - George is very good. I do think you will need the help of a registered migration agent. Good luck with it - I hope it works out.

Re: Why do they need SO MUCH information?

Okay, enough with the bickering. No-one has the right to tell another poster to stop posting on the threads. If there is an issue, then report it to the mods, and we can have a look at it.

If...

Re: Visa Help needed

The 457 doesn't have a straightforward path to residency like the 489 does. He can be sponsored for permanent residency at any time by his employer if his profession is on the list & he has the...

Re: Which way to turn

I would be surprised if there's a way to reinstate it. In all honesty, I really think you need to consult a registered migration agent due to the complexity of the situation. I can recommend George...

Re: 489 Visa (Family Sponsored)

I think I'm going to trust official sources over random posters on the internet. You have nothing to back up your assertions, and advising people to avoid using official information is reckless.

Re: Subclass 489 - Family sponsored Processing Time

The skilled regional GSM will be the one you're after. So the (estimated) processing times are between 6 & 8 months.

I have to agree with the above. I strongly advise you to speak to an agent. Believe me, you have no idea just how quickly things can go sour.

Re: *NEED advice and a sponser to move to australia *

Thank you.

Even trying to look objectively at it, it just seems like the UK, US, and Australia are in a race to the bottom. Our own situation aside, my heart breaks for people who have...
