I hear you! As ever, its the minority who ruin it for the majority. I've known lots of people on 457s in genuine positions, but I also see more and more reports of companies not sticking to the rule...

Many employers don't pay any relocation expenses, or flights, or anything aoart from the sponsorship fee. They get employees in, many from the "third world" -sometimes allegedly find ways around...

You can be pretty sure it will be, yes. However if its a controlled condition - asthma, diabetes etc then it may well go through a lot quicker than something where they ask for more reports.

DIAC is clamping down hard at present on illegal workers, and on firms that employ them, especially on 457s. Those of us who have expended thousands of $$ and waited years to move to Australia...
