Tons of Brits have second homes in the US..
If you want it as a holiday home that you will use a lot then it could be cheaper to own...we use ours about 4/5 months of the year the cost of renting...

Its warm here today 9 degree's...dull no rain or wind..
I have now become a true New Englander..so far I've turned on the gas for 45 mins this winter when it was -10 outside..:thumbup:

Its 24f here..still only had the gas on for 45 mins this winter..got a fireback last week and the living room is real toasty..never thought something like that would make such a difference

Not been here to read and post forever..but reading the first post we took a 10% pay cut back in May..hubby got 2 extra days off a month...it was hard at first..but now we like the extra time more...

Calabay Parc is very nice...so is Tuscan Ridge...Calabay rents well...Tuscan holds its value..
Just don't go near any KB in the area...

if you want it as a second home and can use it a lot yourself and can afford to not rent...then fine...I think along route 27 is a long term good buy...but renting is a mugs game...

I drove on my Brit license for a year...I was told by both the DMV and my Ins company that it was OK...the State trooper who I took my test with asked how long I'd been driving in the USA I told him...
