Re: Malaga Airport - Places to Eat?
De nada! To get to the airport railway station (it is signposted from arrivals) he should walk straight ahead when leaving the arrivals building (you can see the single storey station entrance...

Re: Malaga Airport - Places to Eat?
Another alternative would be to take the Cercanias train in the other direction into Malaga city centre (get off at the end of the line, the Alameda station rather than at Maria Zambrano, as Alameda...

Re: Malaga Airport - Places to Eat?
I mentioned the train from the Airport to Fuengirola in connection with going just one stop to the Plaza Mayor shopping complex where there are restaurants, but he could continue on to Benalmadena or...

Re: live in Spain, commute to UK
The only person I know who did this successfully for a couple of years worked for BA (as ground crew) at Heathrow, so she got free or nearly free flights, and stayed with friends whilst in the UK so...

Re: Malaga Airport - Places to Eat?
The Plaza Mayor shopping complex is just one stop away by train from the airport (take the train in the direction of Fuengirola) and there are quite a few (mostly fast food type) restaurants there. ...

Re: jobs / santa maria
If it's El Puerto de Santa Maria you mean, I've only been there as a tourist, it seemed a nice enough town but not very big, there are quite a few bars and restaurants but it's not a bustling...

Re: Declaring worldwide assets to Hacienda
If people are looking for holiday homes (and ALL the properties in my immediate area which have sold over the past year have been for second homes) then the new requirement won't have any effect on...

Re: Mobiles
My UK one (also a Vodafone PAYG) requires that I make a chargeable call on it at least every 6 months, rather than needing to be topped up, in order for it to stay active, so maybe some of the...

Re: Mobiles
That's all I have (a Vodafone PAYG, but I think all the suppliers are much of a muchness) and it's perfectly adequate for what I want, very occasional use only. No need to get tied into a contract...

I was thinking back to posts 7 and 8 in this thread, but I am pleased I will not "lose" those 2 years I had paid contributions for, thank you. That being the case I should have at least 8 years not...

Unfortunately though, 2 of the years I worked prior to 1978 don't look as though they will count as they were before I was 19 (started work at 17). They seem determined to make me suffer, don't know...

I agree with Rebs. You need to have 35 years of NI contributions AT THE FULL RATE in order to qualify for the £144 per week.
See pages 9 and 10 of the fact...
