The first time I got married it was in England, where I lived at the time. So I applied for my conditional green card through the US consulate in London.

The minute he realized his visa had expired he notified his employer, who doesn't appear to have a problem with it at all...

He's still using the SSN he was given when he was allowed to work. Will that be an issue in the future?

I'm about to apply for citizenship in the end, it looks like it makes things much easier...

I used to get so annoyed by the sales tax too and now I'm so used to it when I go back to Europe I'm always surprised to pay the exact same price that I see on tags with nothing added to it ! :)
