Re: is it possible to add wife after visa granted ?

The time line appears to be:
Nov2009 granted 175
May2010 validated visa
Married at an indeterminate date after May 2010.

1. You will need to apply for a partner visa for your wife.
2. If the...

Re: criminal record - visa application for australia

You'd better believe it. Your survival rate would be higher tiptoeing through a minefield in the dark than putting in a visa application by yourself with s501 issues.

Also be prepared for the...

Re: Ability to get a visa with a suspended sentence?

The best advice I can give you is to talk to George or someone else with experience in dealing with applicants with convictions.

Character issues do not lend themselves to reactive DIY. You need...

Re: Ability to get a visa with a suspended sentence?

Absolute nonsense on both counts.

A 12 month sentence is not a benchmark in any sense of the word. It is an administrative threshold which creates a prima facie case of 'bad character'. However...

Re: Fiance visa

and

are inconsistent statements.

It is still possible to get a PMV application up when the sponsor is on social welfare benefits, but it will need rather more work than is usual.

Re: Agents Help needed with Skilled Visa please

Reasonably good depending on your actual work experience and qualifications.

Job titles mean little in skilled migration it is the actual work you do.

If you'd like to email your CV to me,...

Re: Setting up company & getting visa

Not at all. It requires a very good knowledge not just of migration law, but also business and corporation law. Not to mention more than a modicum of Australian business experience.

Exactly....

Re: Setting up company & getting visa

Hi Polly and Dorothy,

A few years ago one guy tried what s/he is proposing while onshore but as a sole trader and failed.

My thoughts at the time reading the judgement were that if the...

Re: Sponsoring a relative. Is this possible?

Exactly.

And even then right now I doubt whether even the policy makers know for sure.

Australia's Ministers are very much hands on and the whole policy area of migration is dependent on the...

Re: Sponsoring your "child" (18 yo)

Hi Andrew,

I really think you'd be better off discussing your situation in detail with a good RMA or migration lawyer who has experience in this area. I note you are in Brisbane....

Re: Sponsoring your "child" (18 yo)

802 is onshore, 101 off-shore.

You also have to show he is more dependant on you than any other person for his basic needs such as food and shelter.

I've had sh#t fights with DIAC on this...

Re: 457

In spite of all that has gone before in this thread it is quite common for the applicant and sponsoring company to split the costs 50/50.

Re: Sponsoring your "child" (18 yo)

There is a range of criteria which may enable you to successfully sponsor your son.

Read this very carefully for an overview.

There is,...

Try emailing Alan Collett of Go Matilda. He's a Chartered Accountant as well, and will be the best person to give you tax advice.

It never surprises me, Jeremy, as to how many people on this web site will consult (and usually pay) a RMA and then try to second guess that advice by asking questions of unqualified strangers who...

Re: UK Dentist Applying for Permanent Residencey - Skills and Medical

Hi Tasmanaut,

Feel free to give me a call and we can talk about your situation, if you like.
