The littlun and the Mrs needs my time far more than you lot and my argumentative streak has gone. I also no longer have the time to mod properly.

All the best to everyone and may your dreams and...

Re: 42c forcast for Melbourne tomorrow.........

I don't mid this heat too much but the little one has got heat rash. He is now in just a nappy and a bib and that seems to be doing the trick. The bib is a nightmare because it gets soaked in vomit...

Re: Giving birth in Aus, how does it compare?

Try and find a hospital that gives you the choices you want whether it be midwife or obstetric led. Try and find out the caesar rates as some places have very high rates (especially private). As with...

Re: Sending home movies to the folks via the net.

I used skype the other day but that requires both ends to be online. ABCs method is good if you have the space.

Re: Sydney - beach suburbs win!

I've always found Coogee as busy and those who I know that live there have found backpacker noise as bad as Bondi. Bondi is a large beach and the lack of parking seems to keep my end of the beach...

Re: Police warn: beach is no-go zone this weekend

As it turns out they would have been fine but you can never tell. The police were out in force checking everyone going onto Campbell Parade. I think they are more worried about Sunday.

Nice and quiet down Bondi today. :)

Re: Broadband - how do you decide which?

Unreliable, slow, expensive, overly long contracts, bad service and regular breakdowns are some of the reasons Telstra is also known as Helstra.

Re: more sydney violence

When those very people who were slaves are still alive and unpaid then there is still an injustice. You have to go back a lot longer than 40 years for sands of time to heal.

Re: more sydney violence

What utter rubbish. The mob at Cronulla were white trash racist bogans of the lowest order who like "bash the wogs and lebs".
Shame on you for tarring Australians with that brush.

Re: Holiday to Melbourne do I need an ETag?

If I remember rightly I signed up to allow the Melbourne toll system to debit my Sydney E-tag account when I went into the RTA. Give the operators of your e-tag a buzz.

Re: more sydney violence

A country that had a whites only policy, Aboriginal hunts, Aboriginal slave labour and only gave Aborigines the vote in the sixties would to me have racism as an underlying part of its culture.

Re: more sydney violence

It seems like the local commanders cannot access resources from other areas of Sydney. Doesn't sound like too much of a challenge.

Re: more sydney violence
