St Julian's is a nice place (I stayed there last week) and has easy access to every where on the island. Can recommend the Irish and Scottish bars :)

Many thanks for the info, I read that there was a fuel increase today 6c of petrol and 3c on diesel. Like you say everything is quite close so it may be I use the bus and the car now and...

That's a lot cheaper than the UK but then I would not expect to do a lot of driving in Malta :o)
