That's because Germany actually still manufacturers things, unlike the UK where (Thanks to Maggie) people try to make a living opening doors for each other (It's called a service industry)

Make sure you try and avoid a number brits in Fuengirola who pretend to be Estate agents (commission only salesmen) also ensure you get your own lawyer not one suggested by the estate agents.

There is a thriving IT industry in Spain and while a larger part is in places like Madrid/Barca/etc opportunities exist even in the supposed depressed CDS.
You will as you know require good Spanish....

It does not matter in what currency you owe money, the debts...

I could not agree more. While I have worked pretty much all over europe I have only moved house 3 times in the UK and 3 times in Spain over the last 40 years. Each to their own.:thumbsup:
