i think for H4's, marriage certificate is required, and birth certificates for kids, the embassy that you visit should have a website which lists the required & suggested documents to be brought to...

sep 20th is the earliest date you can enter the US after getting ur H1 visa, not the earliest date you can apply for a visa, it states on your I-797 that you can goto an embassy/consulate to apply...

no, irrespective of how many recvd. on april 1st, all apps. recd. until arpil 7th r considered for lottery or if quota not reached, then approval.

It doesnt matter whether ur H1 expired, the keys are that 1) u left USA and were out for atleast an year 2) u didnt use up all the time that was available to you and 3) the fact that u had H1 status...

I have met with two lawyers and they have given me the similar reason i have posted on this forum before: If anytime in the last 6 years u were under H1 status and then quit and left the country...
