Just to add to the above - Lived and worked around Charlotte for 12 years, and neither of those things have been a concern in any of my / my 3 kids' lives.

I live in Fort Mill, SC. 30 minute commute to downtown CLT and pretty similar time to most of south Charlotte (less to Ballantyne and pineville).

I chose fort mill for the schools and rental...

Has anyone had any issues with healthcare coverage for children without SSNs or ITINs (not yet filed taxes)?

Mercer Trion seem about ready to cancel my children's coverage, which clearly doesn't...

Noting that you are going to be on an L1B - Just pointing out that you will probably not have very good maternity leave arrangements. Personally, if I were a working woman, I would stay in the UK...
