Think i may just do that, go over for the day have something to eat. Buy something and come home. Don't I have to give an address of where I'm staying or do I just say I'm going shopping?

only proof I have is the constant emails and receipts for fingerprints, postage etc, I did manage to get the state certificate which used to be a requirement and they know that, I mean I may...

it just says an original police certificate from mexico so i assume they are requesting both? I lived in Mexico and know how difficult it is to get anything legit there.

Yeah Ive seen that, but I don't have anyone who would go to Mexico City for me and that is where I would need to go to obtain the certificate.

I used Ace insurance, http://www.aceinsure.com/travel/ I think you have to purchase it whilst in the UK. There are other companies to use, but these have good prices.
