AV gas is 100 octane ethanol free gasoline. I tend to use it for my garden tools and generator as the ethanol seems to cause more water retention than ethanol free gas , especially over winter. Plus...

the 100 octane here is $6.89 a gallon. The crappy ethanol stuff is about a dollar cheaper

Here in Oregon it's around $5.30 for the cheap stuff and just over $6 for diesel. I'm still paying 17c/kWh for the EV, that's about to go up 4%.

100 LL , yes not commonly used in cars here, but readily available all over the country. 94 octane is difficult to buy in the UK. I didn't realize 91 octane in the US is same as 95 octane in the UK.

98 octane gas is only slightly cheaper in the US. I think it's about $4.70 a gallon (most expensive is $6.06) around here. Lower the octane rating, throw in a bit of ethanol and that price comes down...

I pay my hard earned dollars to pump gas on the floor. It's more that they put the pump in at weird angles or not properly and the gas back flows out of the opening.

I have to get out and watch them pump my gas. They have a tendency to try to clean my paintwork with gasoline. Also occasionally some idiot will drive off with pump still attached and nobody is...

The tax credit for Prius' finished a long time ago, but they are still a lot on the road around here.

I saw the new gull wing Tesla last weekend. I think that would be a fun car to own.

I now understand why electric cars are more popular on the West coast. The gas is almost 50 % more expensive. I wonder if that will ever change.

I think the US charges a fixed amount per gallon also, with Pensylvania possibly having the highest tax this year.
