I would consider negative gearing to be the single biggest contributor to the problem.
However, it will take a government with big balls to put a stop to it, or at least restrict its scope.

Oh dear. I think we have very different value systems. Human/Civil rights, Democracy, Tolerance, etc all score much higher for me than impressive economy stats.

Well, in fairness MP, Australia is just a demographic blip in the effective Asia region.
We have a pop of approx 22 million people, while India and China both have over 1 BILLION !

Not an issue in our area thankfully MP. Was not a prob getting our kid into a good child care centre a year ago (and we had several to pick from with little or no waiting lists.) same for schools...

We currently only have a 2 year old and a -2month old, so a fair way off yet from having to learn the ins and outs...
