Crude oil has been in a downwards trend for the past 4 weeks. Brent is currently $58 and WTI $54.

In my opinion, deflation is unwanted when it is caused by a country's economy and not by external forces. When that occurs, economists don't fully understand a remedy for it.

That is very common in San Jose. Gas stations right next to each other may be $0.15 or more difference and within 2 miles, the difference can be as much as $0.70 per gallon.
