Petrol is cheap in Brisbane relative to the UK. However, if petrol gets to $1/litre I thik that is expensive. Brisbane petrol is subsidised by 8c/litre. When I crossed into NSW (where it isn't) I...

As said elsewhere, drive up Mt Coo Tha for a view of the city.
take the City Cat (river ferry thing)
attempt to drive out of the CBD at around 5-5:30pm,
take a bus at peak times - preferably not...
