same here - I hate tattoos too. But my colleague asked me yesterday as one of his students had asked him. I said I wouldnt like them to etch something permanently in their body and then it was wrong...

Yes - and its a right beggar when you're trying to tell students doing business English that their 15 line e mail really only needs to be 3 lines - they just find it hard to accept.

I'm convinced the italians like to complicate things. My student was trying to tell me about his 'gemello' in his calf in terms that I simply could not understand. He came out with long latin names...
