Yes, but what if the rate slides back up nearer to 2:1 in the next few months?

I still have UK accounts so just transfer money in there and just use that.

More than likely already hedged into the rate. As this seems a certainty (in next 3 months) I reckon it'll already be factored in more or less. What will have more of an effect is if it doesn't...

Actually the 30% rate cuts in at $35,000. And up to $80,000 is 38% not 40%.
Looks like you may have used last years figures.
