Re: Tele

Or, as we call it, Bum Notice. Top show!

Watched the first 2 or 3 eps then gave up. Not because of the actors, more the setting: "Come to the UK. It's all like Kings fscking Cross!"...

Re: Tele

Don't know if this has been mentioned already, but SWMBO said she saw a US version of Top Gear, on Discovery, I think.

And it was shit.

I say give it a go. The Smits character is clearly meant to make you think of Antonin Scalia...

Re: Tele

We watched it. Not bad, really - certainly good enough to justify watching the next ep.

It was a lot like Shark, but the other way around.

Re: Tele

I know what you mean.

I was half expecting Carter's jump into the past with Dr Old Spice to negate the entire season. But, OTOH, it was getting old so something had to change.

Re: Tele

Told the Tivo to grab that - we'll give it a look.

Yes, it wasn't bad.
I liked the little "twist" at the end, with the pig mask & all.

Did anybody stick with Rubicon? I gave up.

Re: Tele

We've been enjoying covert affairs. It's a bit silly, but fun.

Jacked in Dark Blue midway through the first season and haven't bothered going back. As you say, very formulaic and, while that can...

Re: Tele

Rubicon, Sunday nights on ABC. Watched the first two episodes, which (as Gene Hunt might say) were about as fast paced as a spastic in a magnet factory. Not as slow as a Canadian show, but almost.

Re: Tele

We quite liked it. Enough to set up a season pass for it, anyway.

Re: Tele

Only been there once. ;)

The first clue for me was a light rail station, in one of the eps.

Re: Tele

Yes, in fact when Flashpoint first started it wasn't at all clear that it was set in Canada rather than the USA. It was only about halfway through the first season that maple leaves and such like...

Re: Tele

I'm enjoying the new series of Leverage. Lie To Me is back too and has been pretty good so far (though tonight's ep was a bit average).

Re: Tele

I did - I liked it, must remember to set a season pass.

We missed the last 2 mins of NCIS, 'cos of a tornado warning. FFS! When the sirens start, I'll dig a hole and hide in it, but until then,...

Re: Tele

Shame about Numbers, but it's not the end of the world. Would have been nice to see Tennant get picked up, though.

Re: Tele

Yeah, we sacked V early on. SWMBO gave Caprica a chance, for a couple of eps, before ditching it. I didn't even give it that. TVguide (http://www.tvguide.com/news/fall-tv-schedule-1005618.aspx)is...

Re: Tele

Are the results out then? We'd given up on Heroes, as it had disappeared up its own bum, but I'd assumed that Flash Forward was always meant to be a single series...

Mainly, I just find Guerrero hugely entertaining. An unkempt, thoroughly evil, little shit who walks around calling everybody "Dude".

Re: Tele

He was the little weedy guy who told the two thugs, sent to shut him up, that if they got violent, he'd fight back.

Then qualified that, by saying "OK, I'll take the beating, but in a few days...
