Re: Harvey Weinstein

Apologies for repeating myself but I was checking something in my posting history in the guardian today and came across the following. It came from the fashion pages but it was on the main page for...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

No.

Much of what has been discussed is part of the same issue, just on different levels and often not even intended in that way, but still treated as just as bad.

Re: Harvey Weinstein

Why are you so hung up about the notepaper? Have you never stayed in a hotel and used their notepaper to write something to someone completely unrelated to the hotel? Never used hospital notepaper to...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

The MPs were 50 and 30 when they first met and 70/50 later after maybe half a dozen meetings/notes. A handful of examples of contact over 20 years. Two notes 12 years apart. This doesn't sound like...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

Well there's the thing you see. You are assuming it was a professionally written letter. It wasn't.

It was a short note written about catching up after 12 years.

She was not asking for what?...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

Yes there is. But that was her interpretation of the way he looked. Someone else might have noted the way the writer looked at the other guests hair and cleavages and may have decided she ogled them...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

The odd thing is that with accusations like that and more flying around about Seagal, an article saying he did nothing more than talk about himself over a long dinner with buxom blondes (one of...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

Guardian still steaming along on but they did carry this, today, albeit in relation to Hollywood only.

One of the guardian writers was quite bitchy listing deniers (who were not actually deniers...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

Following on from that, today we have yet another opinion piece.
At last, I thought, as it started with "I’ve found myself feeling a little sorry for some of the men who’ve lost their jobs or had...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

There's something that's been bothering me in all this for a few days now. Maybe it's because I'm a guardian reader but I'm feeling a little shell shocked. And, yes, I know that's not as bad as...

Just a thought...will it be appropriate to have the least likely to kick out of bed (M/F) category in the next BE awards?

Re: Harvey Weinstein

It probably doesn't do your case much good if, after an accusation, your publicist releases a statement to the effect that you are "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment” and...

Re: Harvey Weinstein

I've been thinking back to my days in the DWP/DSS.

One of our managers was gay - must have been 40 when I started - and he had a teenage "nephew". They remained together for 20 years or more.

Re: Harvey Weinstein

The accuser says Spacey tried to seduce him. That's fairly moderate language. So no force, no actual groping/touching up/kissing/no state of undress.
