True, much better value, but a lot of them come as unfurnished, so there's an initial outlay for appliances, AC units etc, esp the new build ones.

300K is top end price for a large villa in the the more expensive compounds. There are cheaper places. All depends on where you want to live and if 'status' is the name of the game.
