There are companies offering this, and the company sponsering us are one of them. It is common in the mining industry and they may employ people with your degree as many mines provide recreation...

Graduate trainee geologist in Sydney, (I graduate this May) and offered $82k, which i am very happy with. Especially as i get 5 months off per year!
