M&S don't deduct VAT. Actually they do but then they charge a service fee which equates the value of VAT so in effect you are paying the same price.

I'm such a happy bunny today - my first UK parcel arrived with my new winter boots which fit me perfectly :thumbsup:

I didn't have to pay any customs duty either :thumbsup::thumbsup:

I was just wondering....

If the items are discounted by the retailer (ie via a voucher code or special offer etc) do they declare the full price or the actual price you pay on the customs label? ...

Yikes!! I've just gone on an online spending frenzy! There are some great online offers/discounts on at the moment. Will be interesting to see how much I get clobbered for with the new duties to...

As a side note: For M&S and Debenhams - if you use the Velocity (Pacific/Virgin Blue) loyalty programme website as the gateway to the online stores websites, you get extra points.
