Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

If it still says it's 'approved', then the visa hasn't even been printed yet, so not sure it's looking likely unfortunately. Is this for a family holiday, can you get a later flight to join them...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

You do have the right to get it back, and can request that.

Does your status say issued now? Fingers tightly crossed for you.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

They never came back after posting just twice. It'll have to remain one of life's great mysteries.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It normally changes to 'issued' when it's actually been printed and put in your passport. Are you picking it up or having it couriered back?

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It was a long time ago but usvisa's case is an unusually complex one. Top tip, if you click on a username you can see all their previous posts on the drop down menu, so that'll give you the...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Blimey, this gets more complicated. It sounds like you were given another ban which is presumably linked to entering with the B2 when you had an overstay ban (and if it was material misrepresentation...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Then I'm thoroughly confused. If you overstayed over 180 days as an adult then surely you had a 3 year ban? Yet somehow visited the next year? And you mention 'visited once for only 8 days despite I...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

So were you a child when you overstayed?

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I'm a bit confused by your timings. When was the overstay? When you say 'after that I visited once for only 8 days despite I was allowed 90' that was before the overstay? Or after it?

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

You'd need to be in the US already on your L1 status I believe, so it only works if you do move and take the job up - https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/guides/C2en.pdf

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

If you don't need the L1 visa then why are you sending your passport in? I wouldn't bother personally, I'd just withdraw the app in case it complicates matters for other applications further down the...

Yep, immigrant visa i.e. 'green card' once you've entered on it.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

It's standard processing time for London now, I'm following various other immigrant visa timeline threads and anybody applying that way (spousal, employment etc) is getting their passport back within...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Glad AP is over for you. If your status says 'issued', then it shouldn't take long at all. Mine turned to 'issued' on a Monday straight after my interview, and I had it delivered back by the courier...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I think I've seen a couple of years on this forum before, but it is unusual so hopefully you'll hear soon.

I know you are applying for B2 but it was the reason for the waiver I meant - most...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Unfortunately, AP can be incredibly lengthy, there's no point in reapplying as then you'd just be back to square one with the same wait ahead of you. IIRC, you require a waiver for a different reason...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

Ah, ok. That makes more sense, sorry to hear that but hope you get some positive news soon. If you're in AP I think you can ask for your passport back, a forum search should bring some info up.

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I don't think it's the issuance, sounds to me like Sewfran is in Admin Processing. Sewfran, what does your online status say?

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

I suspect it'll just go back to the consulate and they'll reallocate the slot to somebody with priority (spouse visa, etc). But worth a try if you've still not managed to get one by then!...

Re: Nonimmigrant Visa Waiver of Ineligibility Application

The process is, but the reasons for the waiver will vary, as will people's circumstances, and therefore background checks and document requirements will vary hugely too.

A little longer than...
