I'd take that with a pinch of salt tbh, go with the official timelines and then be pleasantly surprised if it's quicker.

My guess (it really is just a guess though!) is that it won't be as long as the current processing times quoted, I think that time will come down. Fingers crossed anyway……..

Just FYI, the first you hear may be Sponsor Approval, don't expect an email confirming receipt as it's possible you won't receive one. Hopefully you know it's got there safely via tracking though.

I wouldn't worry about the citizenship, as timescales are much longer than 6 months so you're well within the processing time....

Just travelling with your spouse because you now want to live in Canada instead of waiting for COPR in the UK isn’t ‘essential’ IMO, there’s no need for either to travel in those circumstances and...

Only if your spouse has 'essential' reasons to be travelling to Canada though, don't think the spouse of somebody just wanting to move under dual intent would come under that exemption personally.

No, you can't apply for PR at the border, it's a bit more involved than that! You would apply for her PR now from the UK, she may not have it in time for your travel, but as linked to above, dual...

Unfortunately, no way of telling. If your background check is quick and easy, then great, but if you happen to share details with a 'person of interest' or something else shows up, it will delay...

That's not really a fair statement - London has far more applications to process, so it's not a case that Ottawa can do the same thing quicker, it's just that applications sent to London take longer...
