I didn't say it made Australia bad, but that it makes a 457 rather too insecure for many people, especially with a family in tow. Yes, its a risk you accept, but I'm sure the vast majority of people...

Also means that you (and your family) can apply for some jobs which are restricted to PR/citizens, if they want to. Some credit cards and loans are also restricted, and weird ones like I discovered...

Start with the fact that you can live here permanently, and if you lose your job you don't have that 28 day desdline hanging over you. :)
