Two of us live perfectly happy for half of that. Our budget is $27000 per year including rent, shopping, bills + running of a car (but not car purchase and not inc tafe course fees) if we go over...

Very true, many of the day to day items that ABC post's up prices on similar threads are higher here in the city than what he pays in Redland.

I don't think used cars are a similar price, they are way more expensive in oz and £14.90 for your leg of Lamb is more like $25AUD.
