The Income Tax Act does not require a person to file a tax return if there is no tax due, except for some special circumstances such as a disposal of a capital asset during the year.

For Canada? Yes, that is correct. As I said, the tax deducted by the employer is approximate so you must still file a tax return, but there will likely be only a small refund or a small amount...

Tax will be deducted from your salary. You self-declare your allowances to your employer. The amount deducted is approximate. You must complete a tax return to calculate your final tax liability....
