hi all...just to throw my 10 cents worth in......when they say offer you a station to work from, remember this is your 'administrative station' ie where your mail/pay slip, locker etc is,it doesnt...

yes i was and i know of quite a few over here that have.The 'new' agenda for change makes careers breaks easier to apply for than the old system..in fact the trust find it very hard not to grant...

Hi all just a word of warning for those applying for visas if you have non migrating children ,say from a previous relationship.

They are required to complete not only police checks but medicals...

they say allow an hour but mine was only about 30 minutes :)

you can take a gamble and complete your medicals and UK police checks (poice checks take about 40 days) before QAS send you a job offer then send your mediclas off (this is what causes the dalays)...

going to be based northern region/north brisbane, i also applied for western australia perth area,but will see how i get on with QAS.

same here :) apparantly she (simone) is the lead for all visa applications,dont be disheartned by the lack of response they do (eventually) e mail you when things are on the move, i used to think...

i agree, i have friends working for QAS and they have mentioned the late finishes and the wages,on the QAS website it states the wage for an advanced care para is $72000,which equates to approx...
