Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

I think you win the prize for the most long-winded attempt at a covert "we bought a flash house" brag on the forum! Congratulations on the house and the brag

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

I do think that is an issue here - it's right that houses are but from light materials and wood is a fine thing to build a house in, but they take a lot of maintenance and it is just incredible how...

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Hawke's Bay can take a while to shift property, too. And, without meaning to sound rude, it sounds like you will be be buying into the higher end of its market where stuff shifts at even slower...

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

I agree that I think the amendments to the scheme are just pre-election crapola-spin.

However, I do hope when my kids are in their 20s and early 30s they have lives that are about...

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

But most folk on here agree a 'living conversion' of about 2.5-3:1, not 2:1 as you suggest. What you get when you bring money over from the UK is pretty meaningless when it comes to actually...

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

FFS, why not just make it only not apply to first time home buyers? I don't get it. Well, I do - the rich always look out for the interests of...

Re: 20% deposit needed to buy a house from oct

Several of the 'first time' buyer homes that have been on the market here in Cambridge are now listed as rentals. I guess all the investors got a nice leg-up when competition from young families was...
