Sorry to be so lazy but 50 pages is beyond me tonight and search isn't working right. Having done this way back in 2010 1st on Thai I haven't bought any miles since....Is US airways the best thing...

Been searching from BNE ( to LHR ) - all seem to be labelled as mixed cabins ie just the last leg in europe is actually in business, the rest in cattle. Is this typical or...

Just looking on continental ... is this still the best search tool?.... and instead of saver and easy pass its now labelled saver award and standard award. I assume I am still looking at saver...

so includes buying your own not just sharing and my maths says if you pay half that works the same as you getting 100% extra free. Obviously you can only end up with 50k...

Can you eliminate all the mixed cabin results? Its all I seem to get and without fail the long haul legs are economy

Giving up for this time round. Can't find 4 of us together when I need to go. So maybe delay til sept/oct school hols next year and wait to see if I can get miles next time they do the offer. ...

You have to book on the phone not online. If you have skype there's a freephone US number 8004284322. They will search for you as you have such limited dates it shouldn't take too long.

I joined ANA but it only seems to let you search star alliance flights if you have their miles in the account.

So about to hit "buy" for me and 3 kids but we either have a 19hr stopover in Seoul and have to go via sydney not brisbane

OR

I buy anyway and HOPE that the sept 2012 school hols have better...

Thanks. I've been doing the whole trip and only getting asiana out and asian/lufthansa back. Ok but only couple of dates and a 19 hr layover in Soeul. Not so much fun with kids. I'll try...

Unfortunately they'll be 7,10,11 so bit too young to leave alone. Can't see how I can get the miles if I can both buy and be gifted. OH has his account but still only gets us enough for 2 of us. ...

Have I got any chance at all of getting 4 or even 5 seats on the same flight between either brisbane or sydney and london? Probably sometime around june 2012? Not sure how many of these award seats...

Just a thought - not sure when my next trip will be but still deliberating like yourself - how long before the miles expire? Are they extendable - (like the way qantas one stay active indefinately...

ok quick look and the extra economy ticket is more expensive ex bangkok than it is to buy the extra mile so scrap that idea.

Ahh not an awful lot of good then if sharing brings the cost up by $400 almost. Why can't they allow gifting? I guess thats the price of living so far from Europe.

Maybe we could use the miles...

can't your friend buy the miles then share them, as opposed to gifting them. can't get the details for sharing to come up on the us airways website at the moment.
