Indeed, when I attended school there in the 1980's and early 90's, there was no sex education and no mention of contraception at all.

In Italy, cheating is part of the system. Almost everyone who went to school there either cheated or helped others cheat. Even the Italian word for "cheat" (copiare) has no negative connotations.

It's funny, I thought no one used those quotation marks any more since the early 80's. Either the teachers are completely out of touch with reality, or they are deliberately teaching something...

It's an old fashioned Italian usage. In German it's similar, except that they use >> << instead of << >>.

From experience, the "liceo scientifico" is probably the least specialised, and it might be the closest thing to an English grammar school. The main disadvantage is that it teaches nothing about...
