Hmm, I find that weird, but everyone's experience is different. As a foreigner I've only ever felt welcome in this area. Like Cresta said, could have been a generational thing.

Cherbourg! Definitely go for Kingers not Cherbourg. Our pool is only open 6 months (really pisses me off) so I'd assume it's the same.

I'm about an hr from Kingers, I go there shopping, and have some very good friends there. They love it.

I like it but wouldn't want to live there, no particular reason, just doesn't "grab" me.
