They won't. I've only been here half a dozen years and I've seen three spikes, that I can remember, in fruit and veg prices for one 'disaster' or another.

I have all my QLD fruit and veg transported here by Mr "ye canna change the laws of physics Captain" Scott. I find its so much fresher that way.

Why easier? I personally know a couple of families, who have been given their marching orders by the landlords, as they want to sell up. I wouldn't fancy that hanging over my head all the time.

My car insurance is dearer here... so you can rule that one out as well. :)

I would say that damn near everything is more expensive here if you do a straight comparison on price... but 'generally'...
