Well me for a start. Given the choice between 20c in Winter or -37c you would have to be slightly mad, in my view, to pick -37c.... no matter how well everything is heated.

There are parts of Australia that I wouldn't fancy, climate wise, either. Not convinced I could handle the heat and humidity in the top end, nor the heat extremes of the interior, but, on the whole,...

I questioned, in a thread on the Canadian board, why somebody would actually choose to move to a freezing cold climate. People get so defensive about where they chose to live that I had people trying...

Calgary might, just might, get above freezing point for a couple of hours on Thursday. Other than that it is expected to stay below freezing for the next 14days at least. That you can keep !! :D

Based on what? The only sort of index that makes any sort of attempt at quantifying this would seem to disagree with you.

Expected temp high for Winnipeg over the next 14 days is -7c. That sun sounds more attractive by the second. :)
