Yes they are backlogged, and the 'not straightforward seems to be just a form communication to say they are doing something but it will just take a little longer.

Short term relationship shouldn't be a problem, the fact that you are married and have a marriage license from a country where such marriages are legal in the UK will mean all you need to do is to...
