What makes you think your case is well above service standards? The official service standards published by DIBP says 5-7 months. Global visa and citizenship processing times...

You applied in December and you're upset that it's taking so long? For heaven's sake! It wasn't that long ago that applications were taking 12+ months to process. Yours is not the only application...

If you're not using a licensed professional, why are you paying money? Would you use a non-registered lawyer? Or unlicensed doctor?

It takes as long as it takes. If you were told that it takes more than 1 month what would you do differently than if you were told it takes less than 1 month?

Then once you have the baby's passport you will need to add him/her to the application and get medicals done for the baby and your wife. Once that's done the case officer will make a decision.

Is your "consultant" a MARA registered agent? If not, (well, even if so) get rid of them. Your first cousin cannot sponsor you for anything unless they own a company that can sponsor you for a 457...
