Vancouver is rainy today.

Sat had a mix of weather depending on where one was.

At the airport it was partly sunny in the afternoon and not cold and no rain.

On my way home not even 3km from...

With winter almost over soon on the calendar, this past one wasnt bad in parts.

A bit of snow late winter and above average rain for much of it but mild temps for the most part.

Fort St. John broke some records last week.

March first 17.8 cm of snow on March first.

Breaking the previous record set in 1964 with 7.1cm.

By 7am Friday March 2nd they received another...

I wouldn't recommend flying on snowy days, not sure if anything left on-time today, none of my flights did anyhow, and even after leaving the gate a couple sat for...

Becoming cloudy this morning. Flurries beginning this morning. Amount 2 to 4 cm. High minus 1.

Tonight Cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries this evening. Clearing near midnight. Windy over...

Snowing currently at Vancouver airport.

Downside is Ill be stuck here from when my shift ends to whatever time the train starts in the morning. Wont ride a scooter in the snow.

Snow didn't stick, but did snow until 2am or so, just didn't get cold enough for it to stick around*. Currently +5 and partly sunny.

*My little part of Vancouver anyhow it didn't stick.

We get hot water, trash/recycling and a parking spot for 1,750/month.

Heating is electric baseboard.

Despite the rain upside to Vancouver is warmer winter temps add in living on a 2nd floor apartment and some winters (this one) the heat doesn't even need to be turned on, which we haven't had to do...

And in Vancouver the airport tends to be warmer, get less snow, and less rain vs the other areas, and of course the airport isn't in Vancouver, but Richmond.

It's been an unpleasant month for sure. I was pretty much giving up on having a shift where rain gear wasn't needed. (rain gear sucks to work in, very warm.)

Glad I got to have 9 days of rain free...

I did that when I was in far northern Alaska, pretty neat.

Boring here still, normal temps and extended period of rain, seems rain for the next 7 days.

Seems when rest of Canada has a crazy winter, Vancouver is mild.

Many of the folks I work with live near the border in Surrey, and cross after work when there is no line up to go get gas.

Currently gas is 1.35 to 1.40 per liter in Vancouver area including...

Everyone seems to assume Canada = cold and frozen all winter long, so a report that it's cold in Canada isn't all that newsworthy....;)

Obviously the entire country of Canada isn't in a deep...

Its not bad here today, plus 3, a bit cloudy but no rain. Low of +2 overnight, but rain starts back up Thursday....:thumbdown:

Have to give kudos to the builder of our building, it's very well...

I don't really understand why those with a house and ability to have a generator don't have one, seems odd.

I understand why apartment and condo dwellers don't have them, as strata's and rental...
