Depends on the industry really, in mine experience doesn't mean too much when getting into management, degree and education trumps all. Most of my managers in the hotels I have worked at had no hotel...

When I try to explain why I stay here and don't move back to the US where the cost of "everything" is cheaper in their eyes many don't seem to understand that yes things are cheaper, but wages...

Nice in Squamish too, but our trees are a couple weeks behind Vancouver, but the temps are warm, and the sun is out. 15 right now, supposed to be 17 tomorrow.

Even Whistler is now seeing warm...

My friend there was out of power for a good chunk of time from that ice storm, and her mom got stranded in Port Hope because of it, no transportation was available. Sounded horrible.

I found it interesting 2 city's in Ontario I lived in made the list, not sure how they decided on the factors involved, but Port Hope and Cobourg, ON while nice little towns, were cold as a heck in...

On the weather side of things, I was walking along our little downtown the other day, and on some of the buildings they have little info-graphics about the past, and on one building they were talking...

Every move except 1 has been because of a job, when one job ends, gotta just move on to where ever the next job happens to be.

I am the opposite, I am always having to figure out what things are in inches, F, pounds, etc.... I grew up south of the border and went to school there.

I've been here 10 years now, and still...
