Check this out for Fed Tax in US (http://www.savewealth.com/taxes/rates/jointmarried/). Then you need to add on about 9% California State tax. Don't forget that you also need to pay 8.25% sales tax...

Thank you for sharing your experience.
It seems that the previous employment needs to be in Australia. What about for the people already work in U.S with H1 Visa? Anybody has any ideas? Thank you.
