Don't rule out the Deep South!

We live in Hobart and are just in the process of moving out to Kingston.

There are plenty of rural areas within 25-40 mins drive from Kingston, add 10...

Woolmers is a good place to stay, a short bus/taxi ride from town-or about 15 mins walk if you feel energetic!
you could also consider the Prince of Wales in Battery Point-even closer and very handy...

The application fee is $240, it took 9 days from applying to the grant letter.

when we go to our citizenship ceremony and take the oath of allegiance, that revokes our PR visa so yes we'll need an Aussie passport to re-enter the country-more bl**dy dollars i suppose....

Yes but it's easy if you read the book first.

Not sure how many ceremonies but the Aus Day one just happens to be the next one.

Yesterday we both received letters telling us our citizenship was approved, so now we're just waiting to hear from Hobart council when the ceremony will be.

My band is playing at the Grand in Huonville tonight if anyone's around the area.

Applied for citizenship yesterday and hopefully we'll be able to attend the ceremony on Sandy Bay beach on...

Yes. It felt like coming home when we got off the plane in Hobart (despite it being 9C-after getting on the plane in Sydney where it was 28 degrees-and feeling bloody cold!).

We'll have been here on a PR visa for 2 years at the end of Nov so we can apply then, and the ceremony is on Australia Day at Sandy Bay seafront.

Trip to the UK was good as far as seeing the...

Did our citizenship tests yesterday, easy if you read the book.

The best guitar shop in Hobart is McCanns but I don't think they stock PRS, just the usual Fender, Gibson etc.
