IIRC the most I have paid for a litre in Canada was $1.54, but at that time, a barrel of oil was around $150. I may have to start working full days soon.

You'll have to explain to me the benefit to the economy of repaying debt to banks when compared to, let's say, buying an Apple phone, insofar a investment being pumped into the economy is concerned.

Stop making mountains out of molehills. The military when in theatre make do with cold/hot food as do millions of shift workers all over the world.

I don't believe that either of those statements are correct without also looking at the context. Negotiations between parties are allowed. "Negotiations" involving threats is a different matter.
